Using some examples from the All-22 tape, lets start talking about man pressure at the NFL level while hitting on the key terminology (green dog, peel, flat-foot read, etc.) associated with these blitz schemes to ensure coverage discipline at the second level and in the secondary. Cover 1 Pressure vs. “Zero” Pressure (Leverage/Help) When you are watching games during the season (or studying tape) be aware of the leverage in the secondary when teams are sending man pressurebecause that tells the story. As we talked about in the offseason when looking at base Cover 1 (man free), the defensive backs will align with an outside shade (outside eye of the receiver) and funnel (or force) the route to their help in the middle of the field (free safety). That doesnt change in a Cover 1 pressure scheme (press or off-man) with the free safety (or strong safety based on the pre-snap look) rolling to the middle of the field.

The woman said that Stanek, her boyfriend, had kicked in the door of her apartment on Acorn Street, and that she ran past him to get out but then noticed he was holding her phone, according to police. She said that while the two were walking in an alleyway near North Cannon Avenue and she attempted to get her phone back, Stanek pushed her to the ground by her head, causing injuries, and when she tried to get up, he shoved her down again, police said. The woman finally managed to get up and ran to the 7-Eleven for help as Stanek left the scene, according to police, but while officers were transporting the woman back to her apartment, they observed Stanek walking in the area and took him into custody. Stanek was arraigned later that morning before District Judge Deborah Lukens of Lafayette Hill, who set bail at $10,000 cash. Stanek was committed to Montgomery County Correctional Facility, but he has since been released on bond, records show. He said authorities have not yet determined whether the attackers were “terrorists or thieves.” A written message on DRC state television told viewers there was “no need to panic.” Mende said troops were patrolling the city to reassure citizens. Gunmen loyal to an evangelical Christian pastor who is opposed to President Joseph Kabila assaulted the same base and briefly captured the state TV station in December of last year. The government said more than 100 people were killed as its forces repelled those attacks. Political tension has been rising in the DRC amid speculation that President Kabila may try to change the constitution and run for a third term in 2016.
